GAP protection is designed for the unfortunate possibility when your vehicle would be stolen and not recovered, or when your vehicle suffers damage beyond repair for an insured reason. Your GAP coverage pays the difference should any shortfall exist between the insurance settlement and the outstanding loan balance. Members incur no out-of-pocket costs to satisfy their vehicle loan.
